Android Latest Update 2012 : SE X8 Update - Flashtool version 0.6.9.1 - Windows / Linux

Posted on 06:59 by Unknown

Flashtool is a flashing software that can be used to :
  1. Flash original Images (Android 1.6, 2.1, 2.3 Images)
  2. Root your phone
  3. Install Recovery, Busybox, custom kernels
  4. Clean your Rom (remove /system/apps apps of your choice) (Be careful, unless you really know what you do, do not modify the default list. This can make your phone stuck at the SE Logo)
  5. Clear dalvik cache
  6. Optimize (install of JIT v2) (Disabled in 0.4, will readd it as a plugin for 2.1 phones only)
  7. Customize (installs apps found in the custom/apps folder of the flashtool)
  8. Clean uninstalled (remove any references to system apps removed in the Clean (root needed) step)
  9. Edit any text file on the device
  10. Rebrand your device
Before downloading and even installing, disable your antivirus. The package is virus free. Antivirus complains about psneuter and zergRush root exploits and I still haven't found how to fool the antivirus.

To install the Flashtool, follow the steps below:
    Windows version :
  1. Install the full install Flashtool 0.6.9.1 package
  2. Apply the latest update (each update is cumulative)
Updates will not install if full 0.6.9.1 is not installed
    Linux version :
  1. Unpack the tar.7z package
  2. Check that libusb-1.0 is installed. On 64bits system, both 64bit and 32bit should be installed.
  3. Add these rules to /etc/udev :
    SUBSYSTEM=="usb", ACTION=="add", SYSFS{idVendor}=="0fce", SYSFS{idProduct}=="*", MODE="0777"
Flashtool can be downloaded on the Flashtool Homepage (on Installation tab)

Android latest update 2012 : HTC One X hands-on

Posted on 22:26 by Unknown

HTC's new flagship phone is an absolute monster. Quad-core 1.5GHz Tegra 3 processor, 4.7" 720p Super LCD2, 8MP f2.0 camera with its own image processor.

The 720p 4.7-inch Super LCD2 is among the most beautiful I've ever seen. Colors were vibrant and bright and it looked almost matte, like a high-tech magazine. Viewing angles were unbelievable and it worked well in bright sunlight.

The rear camera is 8PM and has "the best optics and sensor .The One X has 1GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, but you get 25GB of free Dropbox storage for two years when you buy the phone (that's an additional 25 to what you already have). It has an NFC chip to support Google Wallet and other features, a front-facing 1.3MP camera (capable of 720p video chat), and a 1800mAh battery

It running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC's Sense 4.0 UI.

Android Latest Update 2012 : Inpulse Smartwatch vs Smartwatch Sony

Posted on 21:41 by Unknown

The company behind the Pebble has previous form in this area, having worked on the InPulse Smart Watch for Blackberry devices. This time around, however, it's turning to an unusual funding method: crowd-funding.
Click here to watch video on inpulse smartwatch

With a 1.3-inch OLED touchscreen, don’t expect to tap out a full-fledged tweet or status update from the new Sony gizmo — even in morse code. But with the SmartWatch, you should be able to peruse your latest inbox arrival, check the rain forecast, and even preview who’s calling the smartphone that’s buzzing in your pocket — provided that phone runs on Google’s Android operating system, and is synced to the watch via Bluetooth.

And if you have a Bluetooth headset, you can use the SmartWatch to remotely answer your phone, and quickly begin talking. How well does it work? We won’t know until we get a review unit, and put the watch through its paces. But like the Pebble smartwatch we reported on Thursday, we eagerly await quality time with the new Sony device.
