There are a variety of tweaks you can put in place to make your Android feel faster. Here are the steps:

1. Disable screen animations (Settings: Display: Animations)
2. Disable browser plugins (Browser: Settings: Plugins)
3. Use a third party launcher like LauncherPro or ADW Launcher
4. Turn off live wallpaper
5. Reduce the number of widgets and icons on your home screens
6. Uninstall any unused apps
7. Reduce frequency of data updates (Settings: Accounts)

What is Android Tethering?
Android Tethering is a way to access internet on your computer with the help of your Android smartphone. USB and Wi-Fi access point tethering is natively supported from Android Froyo 2.2.

USB tethering
For USB tethering you must have root access to the phone and a USB cable to connect your phone to computer.
Step 1: First of all you will have to enable USB debugging on your Android. Go to Settings -> Applications -> Development -> USB debugging and enable it. After enabling just reboot your phone.
Step 2: Connect your phone to computer using USB cable.
Step 3: Now enable tethering option from your phone. For this go to Settings -> Wireless & Networks -> Internet tethering and enable it.
Step 4: Open up terminal on your computer and run the command given below

More than 300 million Android devices activated.

Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012 - MWC 2012

Google has announced that they are now activating more than 850,000 Android device per day which is up 250 percent from the previous year and there are now more than 300 million Android devices activated.
We wonder how long it will take the company to reach the 1 million activations per day mark.
